Chelsea vs. Watford | Premier League Preview

Chelsea already won the Premier League title! The Blues are unreachable 2 rounds before the end of the season after the precious 1-0 away victory against West Bromwich Albion last Friday. The Belgian forward Michy Batshuayi scored the only goal of the game in the 82nd minute and secured the 3 points for the Londoners.

The victory against The Baggies was Chelsea’s fifth consecutive victory in all competitions. The Blues are on a wonderful run and Antonio Conte will try to keep his best players’ top form, as Chelsea will play Arsenal in the FA Cup final after about two weeks. So, I think the Italian manager won’t underestimate the remaining 2 games of the Premier League.

On the other hand, The Hornets have secured their place in the Premiership for the next season long ago and they will also play just for prestige. However, the Walter Mazzarri’s players have lost 4 consecutive matches without scoring a single goal! They have conceded 7 in these games.

During the years Chelsea have been dominant over Watford. These two teams have met on 30 occasions. The Blues have won the half of the games, while there have been 6 draws and 9 victories for Watford. However, the last time Watford won a match against Chelsea was 18 years ago! The last away victory for The hornets is even more faraway – in 1986!

Antonio Conte may decide to give more resting time to some of his key players, in order to keep them fresh for the final game against Arsenal on 27th May. I expect to see John Terry playing one of his last games for The Blues. In my opinion, Diego Costa will also be given a rest.

In conclusion, even though Chelsea already won the title, The Blues will give their best to win the three points against Watford. Moreover, The Hornets are in awful form. Don’t hesitate and place your bet for Chelsea’s victory at 1.25.
