Croatia at UEFA Euro 2016 | Squad and Stats.
The Croatians have always had a good team.
Croatia have reached the final match of the European championship on two occasions (as a part of Yugoslavia) in 1960 and 1968, but from 1991 when the country became independent, the Croatians’ biggest achievement at such competition is reaching the quarterfinals on two occasions (1996 and 2008). The best Croatia’s performance at major international competition remains the third place at FIFA World Cup 1998 in France, when Davor Suker and co. were so close of reaching the final match.
To continue with, Ante Cacic’s players finished in 2nd place in their qualifying group, which secured them a place in the Euro 2016. Croatia recorded 6 victories, 3 draws (1-1 against Italy on two occasions) and just 1 defeat. But, they were quite unlucky, because the draw sent them in maybe the most unpredictable Group D with the teams of Turkey, the Czech Republic and the 2012 champions Spain. So, Croatia’s task to find their place in the Round of 16 will be very difficult.
The Croatians start their participation on 12th June against Turkey. We must say that there is only 1 victory for Turkey in the last 6 matches between these two teams. To continue; Ante Cacic’s players have never met the Czech Republic in a competitive game. Both teams have played two friendly matches, in which Croatia recorded a victory and a draw. And the third and most difficult game of the group stage will be against La Furia Roja. The last time Croatia recorded a victory against the Spaniards was in 1994, when The Blazers won 2-0 in a friendly match (their only victory against Spain).

Croatia matches at the Euro 2016:
- 12/06/16 | Turkey vs. Croatia | Parc des Princes (Paris)
- 17/06/16 | Czech Republic vs. Croatia | Stade Geoffroy-Guichard (Saint-Ètienne)
- 21/06/16 | Croatia vs. Spain | Stade Matmut-Atlantique (Bordeaux)
The Croatian manager, Ante Cacic, has in his squad lots of experienced players such as Danijel Subasic, Dario Srna, Vedran Corluka, Luka Modric and Mario Mandzukic, who will be the core of Croatia’s starting eleven. But with players like Mateo Kovacic, Marcelo Brozovic and Andrej Kramaric, the head coach can make a great fusion of young, motivated players and experienced stars. We mustn’t forget about Ivan Rakitic, who had another great season at Barcelona. The midfielder has the needed quality to lead his team to international glory. The biggest omission for Croatia will be Dejan Lovren, who was left out of the squad, because of a controversy with Ante Cacic.
The Croatians are very unimpressive. They had that guy Davor Suker playing for them. That’s a terrible name. They could only suck with Suker!Donald Trump
