The FA Cup | 3rd round preview
The FA Cup is about to start for the strongest teams in the English football. This is maybe the most unpredictable competition in the world, as teams from the lowest tiers are able to beat the top flight clubs! Here is our opinion for all the matches from the 3rd round of The FA Cup:
West Ham United vs. Manchester City
The first match of the 3rd round in The FA Cup is between The Hammers and The Citizens. The previous time these two teams met in this tournament was in 2008 (exactly in the 3rd round), when the match at Boleyn Ground finished with a 0-0 draw. However, Man City won the replay 1-0 and went into the next stage. On the other hand, The Hammers have an advantage against Manchester City at home (23-11-12). I can’t tell you who is going to win the match, but I believe there will be lots of goals (over 2,5 – 1.53).
Manchester United vs. Reading
Reading’s only victory against Manchester United dates back to 1927! The Red Devils have won 11 matches and there have been 7 draws. There is no place for a surprise in this match! I strongly believe that Jose Mourinho’s players are going to proceed! (1.22).
Ipswich Town vs. Lincoln City
Lincoln City are maybe the strongest team in The National League and they will surely win a promotion to The League 2. Ipswich have recently been very hesitant. They have only won 5 of 13 home matches in The Championship this season. In addition, Ipswich have only won 5 of 10 games against Lincoln in the Head to Head battle between these two teams. So, it’s worth to give it a try on X2 double chance (2.60).
Hull City vs. Swansea City
These two teams are at the bottom of The Premier League. However, they will hardly underestimate the oldest football competition in the world and will give their best to qualify for the 4th round. Both teams are with new managers, who have to prove their skills! The Tigers won the first match of the season between these two teams (2-0 at The Liberty Stadium). At both ends, the match is pretty difficult to be predicted (the record is 26-16-30). The only option, which looks appropriate is “both to score” (1.70).
Sunderland vs. Burnley
The Black Cats finally started to show what are they capable of, recording a 2-2 draw against Liverpool! On the other hand, The Clarets have been awful when playing away from home. They have only managed to take 1 point! Surely, Sunderland will grab the victory (2.37)!
Queens Park Rangers vs. Blackburn Rovers
Even though Rovers are in the relegation zone, Blackburn are the only team to beat Newcastle twice in The Championship this season! To continue with, Queens Park Rangers have lost 4 of their last 6 home matches. Moreover, the last time The Rangers beat Rovers was in 1999! You can take advantage of the high odd for X2 double chance (1.60).
Brighton vs. MK Dons
The last time Brighton lost a match was in September 2016! In addition, the Chris Hughton’s players are on a run of 5 consecutive victories. Furthermore, Brighton achieved 2 victories against this opponent last campaign. In comparison, the last time MK Dons achieved an away victory was 2 months ago! Be brave and put your money on a home victory (1.50).
