Football stories | Carlos Tevez
The Argentine – Carlos Tevez is a synonym of a good forward! He started his professional career in 2001, when he was only 16 years old. Tevez made his debut for Boca Juniors against Talleres de Cordoba on 21st October. Since then, he has become one of the best Argentinian strikers!
However, Tevez has had a lot of difficult moments in his childhood. As you may have noticed the Argentine has a burn scar on his face, which has been caused by boiling water. He has refused to have a cosmetic operation, because Tevez has said that the scars are a part of who he was!
To continue with, after spending 4 seasons with the Argentine giant Boca Juniors, Carlitos moved to Corinthians in 2005. He helped his new team win the Campeonato Brasileiro! Tevez scored 46 goals in 76 matches for the Brazilian team, but then in 2006 he refused to play for the team anymore! And that was the beginning of his career in England.
West Ham United signed him and his teammate Javier Mascherano and that was crucial for the Hammers’ season, because exactly Tevez was the hero in the last match of the season against Manchester United at Old Trafford. The Argentine scored the only goal of the game and helped his team avoid relegation!
Sir Alex Ferguson was very impressed from Tevez’s performance and bought him for £20 m. The forward only spent 2 seasons at Manchester United, but managed to win The Premier League twice, The League Cup, The Champions League and The FIFA Club World Cup!
Then, Tevez was considered as one of the best forwards in football! However, he decided to switch United for their rivals Manchester City, which wasn’t a good news for his fans at United. Carlitos won The Premier League once again – in 2012 with City’s colours, before moving to Juventus in 2013.
After 2 seasons, 50 goals (in all competitions) and 2 Seria A titles for Juventus, Carlos Tevez decided to go back to his favourite team – Boca Juniors. Carlos is now 32 years old, but he still has what to show! He has scored 13 goals in 76 matches for his national team, and I hope I will see him again playing for Argentina at the World Cup in 2018.
