The Premier League | 13th round preview

The 13th round in The Premier League will begin with a very interesting match between Burnley and Manchester City at Turf Moor. The Citizens are obligated to win the match if they want to keep their good position in the standings. Josep Guardiola’s players only won twice in their last 6 league matches. In addition, they had a very hard match against Borussia Monchengladbach in The Champions League on Wednesday, so they will be a little bit more tired. Furthermore, Burnley perform really well at home this season. The Clarets have won 4 of their 7 league matches at Turf Moor! We expect Manchester City to win the match, but it won’t be an easy victory!

Saturday will be full of a lot of interesting games. Hull City are to host West Bromwich Albion. This is a good chance for The Tigers to get out of the relegation zone. However, The Baggies have recently been in a good form. They won their last two Premier League matches. Moreover, they smashed Burnley 4-0 on Monday. Moreover, there are 7 Hull City’s players, who are injured and will surely miss the match. So, I bet West Brom take the three points.

The champions Leicester City will play Middlesbrough. The Foxes will be inspired, as they made it to the Round of 16 in The Champions League after a 2-1 victory against Club Brugge! On the other hand, Claudio Ranieri’s players struggle when playing in The Premier League this season. They have only won 3 of 12 matches! Middlesbrough proved they are to fight in every single match until the end of the season. The Boro have finished with a draw in 4 of their 6 visits in the league! The draw seems to be the most logical outcome of the match.

To continue with, Liverpool will meet The Black Cats at Anfield. Sunderland have improved their performance, winning their last 2 matches in the division. However, they will hardly take anything from their visit to The Reds. The last time Sunderland won against Liverpool, away from home, was in 1983! I don’t expect them do it again against the strong Klopp’s team.

Crystal Palace will try to win their first victory since 24th September, when they beat 3-2 Sunderland. The Eagles will visit The Swans. Furthermore, Swansea City are lying in the last position in the standings with only 6 points collected! However, Palace are the team in the worst form – they have lost 5 consecutive Premiership matches. At both ends, this is the most appropriate moment for them to win another game!

The derby match of the 13th round will be between the teams of Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur. The Blues are on an incredible run! They won 6 consecutive Premier League matches, keeping a clean sheet in each of these matches! Moreover, The Spurs have lost to Monaco in The Champions League, which meant they were eliminated from the tournament. Tottenham are still unbeaten in The Premier League and it’s a high time they lose!

After 3 victories and a draw in their last 5 games, Watford will host Stoke City on Sunday. The Hornets are lying in 8th position and are one point down from the 6th place in the standings. Stoke disappointed in their last match, losing to Bournemouth 0-1. However, the matches between Watford and Stoke at Vicarage Road are totally unpredictable, as The Hornets have won 5 matches, have lost the same number of games and have finished with a draw twice!

The Gunners have recorded 3 draws in a row in all competitions. Now, they are to host The Cherries and Arsene Wenger are in a must-win situation, to stick with the leaders! The Gunners won twice against Bournemouth last season and they are very likely to do it again. However, it won’t be an easy match for Arsenal, but they will surely achieve a victory!

The inspired Red Devils will play West Ham United at Old Trafford. Jose Mourinho’s players smashed Feyenoord 4-0 last night and have finally shown their real face. Wayne Rooney brought back his best form and will surely lead his team towards another victory. West Ham United are a pretty good team, but they have been in awful form. The Hammers have only won 3 matches in The Premier League and they have lost 7! Moreover, the last time West Ham achieved a win at Old Trafford was 9 years ago!

Southampton will play Everton in the last match of the 13th round. The Saints will be a little bit more tired than their opponents, as Southampton played against Sparta Prague in The Europa League on Thursday. However, these two teams seem to be equally strong and it is very difficult to be predicted who will take the 3 points! Southampton have an advantage when they are playing at home – The Saints have won 17 matches, while Everton have recorded 12 wins. There have also been 10 draws.
