The Premier League | 21st round preview
Tottenham vs. West Bromwich Albion
The Spurs are on a brilliant run! They have won 6 consecutive matches in all competitions. The Mauricio Pochettino’s players proceeded to the 4th round of The FA Cup, after beating Aston Villa 2-0 at home. Moreover, they put an end to Chelsea’s winning streak, after they beat The Blues 2-0 at White Hart Lane in the previous round of The Premier League. In addition, The Spurs are still unbeaten at home in the league this season. On the other hand, West Bromwich Albion have shown a great progress in their performance in The Premiership. The Baggies have won 29 points, lying in the 8th position of the standings. However, be sure that Tottenham will take the 3 points!
Burnley vs. Southampton
The Clarets have won 22 of their 23 points at home! They only managed to take a point from their visit to Old Trafford. However, when Burnley are playing at home, they look much stronger, winning 7 of 11 games! Furthermore, The Saints aren’t good enough when visiting – they have won 2 of 10 games! Another argument for not betting on an away victory – there are only 4 away wins in the whole Head to Head battle between these two teams!
Hull City vs. AFC Bournemouth
The Tigers are desperate for fresh points! Otherwise, they are heading towards The Championship again. 2 home victories in 10 games is quite not enough if you want to stay in the most competitive division! On the other hand, The Cherries have recently shown very impressive performances. They finished with a 3-3 draw against Arsenal in the previous round. So, Bournemouth is the logical choice for the punters in the upcoming fixture! Sunderland vs. Stoke City
Another interesting Premier League battle will be between The Black Cats and The Potters. Even though Sunderland have been among the favourites for relegation, The Black Cats are just 1 point down from the 17th position. And if they win the game, they will be able to set the start of another great escape! Moreover, Sunderland managed to take a point from their previous game in the league (2-2 vs. Liverpool). Moreover, Sunderland have won the last 3 home league matches against The Potters!
Swansea City vs. Arsenal
The last time the Arsene Wenger’s players achieved an away victory in The Premier League was on the 3rd December, when The Gunners beat West Ham United 5-1. To continue with, Arsenal have always struggled when playing against The Swans (the total record is 7 victories for Swansea, 2 draws and 8 wins for Arsenal). However, in my opinion Arsenal are going to take the victory, so The Gunners will stick with the leaders.
Watford vs. Middlesbrough
Watford enjoy their games against Middlesbrough, especially in the last few years. The Hornets have won 4 of the last 6 matches between these two teams. Moreover, Watford have won 6 of 10 at home against The Boro! You must also take into consideration the fact that Watford have never missed to score against Middlesbrough at home!
West Ham United vs. Crystal Palace
The last time West Ham United won at home against Crystal Palace was in 2003 (3-0 in The Championship)! Since then, The Eagles have won twice and there have been two draws. However, the Sam Allardyce’s players have recently shown awful performances, that’s why they will surely be involved in the relegation battle. Can they finally achieve a victory?
Leicester City vs. Chelsea
Chelsea’s winning run was intercepted by Tottenham Hotspur in the previous round. However, the Antonio Conte’s players will try to win another 3 points against the champions Leicester City. The Blues smashed The Foxes 3-0 earlier this campaign. Leicester City are the worst visitors in the division, but when playing at home The Foxes have won 5 of their 10 matches. This time, I think they won’t take any point from the match…
Everton vs. Manchester City
The Toffees were knocked out of The FA Cup after a defeat to Leicester in the 3rd round. However, Everton are very strong when playing at home. The Ronald Koeman’s players have only lost once at Goodison Park in The Premier League! In addition, The Citizens have won 2 of their last 8 visits to Everton. The most logical result should be a draw.
Manchester United vs. Liverpool
The derby match of the 21st round in The Premier League will be between The Red Devils and The Merseysiders. Manchester United are on a run of 8 consecutive victories in all competitions. The last time they lost at home was 4 months ago! Furthermore, The Red Devils have won 8 of the last 10 matches between these two teams at Old Trafford. Will Jose Mourinho’s players continue their winning run? I think they will!
