The Premier League | 31st Round Preview | Part II
Arsenal vs. West Ham United
The last time The Gunners won a game in The Premier League was on 11th February, when the Arsene Wenger’s players beat Hull City 2-0 at home. It’s high time they do it again. Moreover, The Hammers have recently not been very impressive. The Slaven Bilic’s players lost 4 consecutive Premier League matches. They were defeated 2-1 to Hull City in the last round.
Arsenal have an advantage in the Head to Head battle between these two teams. The Gunners have won 31 home games, while there have been 13 draws and 14 victories for West Ham United. Furthermore, Arsenal have won 5 of the last 6 games against The Hammers at home!
Arsenal to win the game (1.40)
Hull City vs. Middlesbrough
The Boro met Swansea City in the last round of The Premier League, as the game finished with a 0-0 draw. However, it was a really competitive match and even though there were no goals, it was a very interesting one. I think this game will be quite similar, but this time I think there will be at least one goal in the match.
In my opinion, Middlesbrough are the better team and they will eventually win the visit to Hull City by a one goal margin.
The Prediction: Middlesbrough to win the game (4.20)
Swansea City vs. Tottenham
Totteham Hotspur are on a run of 4 straight victories in The Premiership. The Spurs have come closer to the 1st place, because Chelsea lost their last game to Crystal Palace and now the difference is only 7 points. So, I think Spurs will leave The Swans no chance. The Mauricio Pochettino’s team is much classier and will win the game.
The Prediction: Tottenham to win the game (1.72)
Southampton vs. Crystal Palace
The Eagles recorded an astonishing victory against The Blues last weekend. The three points were crucial for the Sam Allardyce’s players, as they are now 4 points above the relegation zone. To continue with, the win against Chelsea was the 4th consecutive for Palace in The Premier League.
However, the visits to Southampton have always been difficult for The Eagles! The Saints have won 15 of 24 games at The St. Mary’s Stadium and I think they will do it again.
The Prediction: Southampton to win (1.80)
Chelsea vs. Manchester City
Another difficult match for The Blues. They can’t afford another defeat, because the distance between them and the second-placed Tottenham Hotspur is only 7 points! However, a match against Manchester City and Pep Guardiola is always a tough task.
The Blues won against Man City 3-1 earlier this season. Cahill scored an own goal to open the score for The Citizens, but Diego Costa, Willian and Eden Hazard turned things around for Chelsea to secure the three points. Be sure, that this match will be quite different.
The Prediction: A draw (3.40)
Liverpool vs. AFC Bournemouth
The Reds’ schedule seems the easiest of all teams in the Top 6. So, Jurgen Klopp must take advantage of it. Liverpool showed some incredible performances this campaign. They didn’t lose a single match against the teams from the Top 10! That’s why I think they deserve a better place than their current third.
Liverpool will hardly fight for the title, but The Reds must work to secure a place among The Top 4. I think that the match against Bournemouth is a very good moment for another 3 points for Liverpool.
The Prediction: Liverpool to win the game (1.36)
