The Premier League | Round 25 Preview
Arsenal vs. Hull City
No time for mistakes for Arsenal! The Gunners lost twice in a row in The Premier League and their place in The Champions League for the next season looks threatened. On the other hand, the Arsene Wenger’s players have won 8 of their 12 matches at The Emirates Stadium, losing only twice. Furthermore, The Gunners have won 17 of 25 matches against The Tigers, which goes to show they are very comfortable when playing Hull City.
The last time The Tigers won an away match in The Premier League was on 20th August 2016, when they beat Swansea City 2-0. Since then, they have lost 9 of 11 visits in the league. In addition, the head coach Marco Silva has lots of problems with injuries. Curtis Davies (thigh injury), Markus Henriksen (shoulder injury), Ryan Mason (fractured skull) and Michael Dawson (calf strain) will be sidelined for the visit to The Emirates Stadium.
Manchester United vs. Watford
The Red Devils are on a run of 15 matches without a defeat in The Premier League! They are closer to The Top 4 now, being just 2 points behind the 4th-placed Arsenal. Jose Mourinho doesn’t usually miss such opportunities against teams like Watford. Moreover, Manchester United have only lost once at Old Trafford in The Premier League this campaign.
17 victories of 27 games against The Hornets look like a pretty strong performance for The Red Devils. In addition, Manchester United have only lost at home against Watford once (in The League Cup in 1978). No place for surprises here!
Middlesbrough vs. Everton
Romelu Lukaku is on fire, as the forward scored 4 goals in Everton’s 6-3 victory against The Cherries last round. Furthermore, The Toffees are unbeaten away from Goodison Park in the previous 4 Premier League matches! In addition, the last time The Boro won at home was on 17th December 2016.
Stoke City vs. Crystal Palace
The Eagles have recently been extremely weak. They lost 7 of their last 10 Premier League matches, winning only once. Everybody expected that Sam Allardyce will have no problems to help the team avoid relegation, but the task seems to be more difficult. With only 19 points after 24 rounds, The Eagles need to improve a lot, because Hull City, Sunderland and Swansea City finally started to win points!
This is the perfect moment for The Eagles to earn 3 points. They have recently played very well against The Potters, winning 6 of the last 7 games between these two teams in all competitions.
Sunderland vs. Southampton
The Black Cats shocked everyone with the 4-0 victory against Crystal Palace. Now, the David Moyes’ players need to show another good performance, in order to get rid of the relegation zone. The 34-year-old forward Jermaine Defoe is in a good shape. The striker has scored 14 league goals this season and is just 1 goal down from his last season’s record.
On the other hand, The Saints have lost 6 of their last 7 Premier League matches. That’s because they have concentrated on their performance in The Capital One Cup, where they reached the final. I think that the Claude Puel’s players will play frugally, while Sunderland will give a 100% and The Black Cats will be the winners in the end!

Liverpool vs. Tottenham Hotspur
It’s high time Liverpool to win a match! The Reds ruined all their season with their weak recent form. The Jurgen Klopp’s players were knocked out of The FA Cup and The Capital One Cup and didn’t record a victory in 3 consecutive Premier League matches. So, the pressure is on for Liverpool.
Tottenham Hotspur are unbeaten in their last 11 competitive matches. The Spurs have only lost twice in 24 matches in The Premier League this season! On the other hand, The Reds have recently been dominating in the Head to Head matches between these two teams, winning 6, finishing with a draw 3 times and losing once. Moreover, Liverpool have only lost on 6 occasions at home of 75 games against The Spurs. It’s worth betting on a victory for Liverpool!
Burnley vs. Chelsea
Surprisingly, Burnley have been among the strongest hosts in the division. The Clarets have won 9 of 13 games at Turf Moor! The Sean Dyche’s players are taking a huge advantage of their home field, as they have won 28 of their 29 points at Turf Moor! So, Chelsea’s task will be very difficult. The hosts will be without Jeff Hendrick (suspension), Steven Defour (thigh injury) and Dean Marney (knee injury), while Eden hazard of Chelsea is doubtful.
However, The Blues have won 4 of the last 5 matches against Burnley. Moreover, the Antonio Conte’s players have only lost twice away from Stamford Bridge this season. I am sure this match will be a real test for Chelsea’s players, but they will win the game by one goal margin!
